I love my Macbook and wish I could afford a Macbook Pro and Mac Pro for home.
I’ve started playing with iWeb a little bit so a blog has been set up there (as well as an automatically updating calendar via iCal, which is completely sweet!)
Since it’s been almost 6 years since I’ve posted to this blog, here are some updates:
1. I’ve got a new (used) vehicle. A SWEET ‘07 Ford Escape (copper, or as Em likes to call it…rust colored). I’ll post some pics up sometime. Put a bike rack on top an a 7-inch touch screen DVD player head unit in it…so it better last me a while!
2. I’m coaching cross country this coming school year. Starting this past monday runners were supposed to be running on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 11am. I was here today (Wednesday) at 11 and nobody left for a run. Slackers.
3. Just found out I was accepted into the University of Central Missouri’s (forever called CMSU by yours truly) Educational Technology program.
Classes started 2 days ago, and I officially go enrolled in a class today, so it’s time to get to work 
I’m ready for this first year of teaching to be over.
I don’t understand how, but it seems like I’ve got more stuff going on now than I did when I was coaching.
Overall, I’d say this year was a great success. There’s tons to work on for next year, but I think I’m off to a good start.
I’ve also talked to a couple young ladies the past couple days about joining the cross country team next year and they just might do it!
On a different note, Grand Theft Auto IV rocks!
I drove a bus for the first time today. It was sweet!
I ran out of time because my plan period was cut in half due to MAP/Terra Nova testing so I only got to try backing up for a minute, but it was tough telling how far away the end of the bus was from a certain spot.
I’ve had a lot of fun lately trying various themes. That’s one great thing about the Wordpress community, it’s huge and lots of people have created themes and plugins!
I wish I had the time to create my own…maybe some day I will. My goal is to have a decent home page and a blog (and maybe even the photo gallery) with the same kind of design.
I know plenty of CSS, but I’ve got to learn more PHP and get into some javascript and figure out what AJAX is all about. Maybe that’s something I can do this summer?
Played Vegas 2 for a couple hours last night and it was awesome. New game modes, new way of unlocking weapons and moving up in ranks….sweetness!
Students get out at 12:30 today, PT Conferences from 3-8pm, and then either grabbing a drink or 3 with some teacher friends or home to play more Rainbow Six….maybe both.
Tomorrow is a half-day work day for teachers. I’ll be here from about 7:30 until Noon, then back home to play some Vegas 2 with Kenny.
Picked up Rainbow Six Vegas 2 this evening. About time to play it. Gotta finish putting the Wii and a few other things on Craiglist….

In other news, spring break starts in a couple days…and Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is released today! Time to try and sell the Wii and buy a Xbox 360!
Shuffled around Wal-Mart after school today to pick up some goodies for school, bottled water, and try to find a board game or two that is business related to use in class. When I got to the games section I was surprised to see four different versions of Monopoly. I couldn’t believe there’s an electronic version that uses a debit card type system.
How sweet is that?!?!
I’m selling 3/4 of my video game collection. All that’s left is the Wii, a few controllers, and a couple games.
